 t:\nThis listening session is designed for people of all races who conside
 r themselves part of the ChicagoEFT community. The purpose is to come toge
 ther and provide a holding environment for conversations about race. We re
 cognize that therapists of color have not had the room to name and describ
 e their experiences within our organization. The first goal of this sessio
 n is to provide a framework for active listening and holding the racialize
 d wounds of subjugated therapists. The second goal is to provide White the
 rapists the tools to listen non-defensively in dialogue regarding race. Th
 e aim is to have a new\, deeper\, honest and transparent dialogue that ack
 nowledges the impact of structural racism in our lives.  The expectation 
 is that you will show up physically\, emotionally and intellectually\, par
 ticipating openly and honestly in group interactions.\n\nLearning Objectiv
 es: Participants will\n\n 	Identify habitual behavior connected to privile
 ged and subjugated identities.\n 	Engage in self-exploration and examine b
 arriers to addressing race in therapeutic manner.\n 	Practice new strategi

 ate Professor in the Department of Couple and Family Therapy at Adler Univ
 ersity in Chicago\, IL. Dr. Hall is an Approved Supervisor and Clinical Fe
 llow in the American Association for Marriage &amp\; Family Therapy.  Add
 itionally she is certified as a fellow in thanatology through the Associat
 ion for Death Education &amp\; Counseling. She is a co-founder and CEO of
  the Central Division of Hall &amp\; Hay Consulting Associates\, LLP. In h
 er role at Hall &amp\; Hay Consulting\, she provides professional grief an
 d loss education and training.
