In this recently published book, author Grazel Garcia helps ADHD-impacted couples make sense of how neurodivergence impacts their relationship. This book is designed to be read by couples and the therapists who help them. It gives readers both a neurological explanation as well as an emotional and attachment framework to help put words to what they’re experiencing, build compassion for themselves and each other, and find new and better ways of connecting. Grazel provides a variety of common couples’ dynamics, including couples wherein both partners have ADHD, one partner has ADHD and the other does not, couples with mixed neurodivergence (one partner with ADHD, one partner with Autism), and couples where cultural elements impact the ways in which they experience and interact with their neurodivergence.
