Core Skills: Extended Training 2026-2027

Please carefully read the information here about the commitment Core Skills requires. Registering for Core Skills indicates your commitment to attend all 4 modules.

March 4-5, 2027
9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Fridays. All times are US Central.
Location: Adler University, 17 N Dearborn St, Chicago, IL 60602
Cost:
$1,850 if paid in full in advance.
If pay by the session, payments are due as follows:
$750 with registration
$500 by Nov 1, 2025
$500 by Jan 16, 2026
$200 by March 6, 2026
Discounted Registration: The ChicagoEFT Board approved 4 discounted registrations for Core Skills, each for $400 off the total cost. This discounted cost will be given to therapists who work with under-resourced populations in a community mental health organization or similar not-for-profit organization and either work in Illinois or within a 200 mile radius of Chicago, and to students, active military, and veterans. CE CREDIT: This training qualifies for 24 continuing education credits.
ChicagoEFT is licensed to offer CE’s for LMFT (168.000220), LCPC/LCSW (159.000961), and Psychologists (268.000137) in the state of Illinois. Click HERE to purchase Illinois CE’s.

Gretchen Harro, MA, LMFT is a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist, Supervisor and Trainer. Gretchen is a life-long midwesterner, and identifies with the orderliness and love of nature that come from her Swiss roots. Her great passions are to help couples rediscover the joy of their friendship and to help therapists become more effective and efficient in their work, which also brings her joy! Gretchen is known for her personal warmth and for adding creative elements to the training to make the learning more accessible to multiple learning styles. She owns a private practice in Buffalo Grove, IL.
