I am the founder of the Psychotherapy and Transformational Movement with over twenty years of clinical experience. I received a Master of Arts in Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, where she specialized in Counseling Psychology.

As an immigrant, I embrace cultural diversity and the uniqueness of each individual.  I promote courage, vulnerability, empathy, and self-compassion as a way of wholehearted living.  As soon as I listened to Dr. Brené Brown TED talk, I became curious about her research on shame and vulnerability.  In 2014 I completed the training with Brené Brown’s team and became a Certified Daring Way™ (CDWF). The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown of the University of Houston, which promotes wholehearted living and shame resilience.

In my work with couples, I help them to connect on a deeper emotional level.  That led me to explore different modalities of building lasting relationships like Gottman Couples Therapy Training and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT).

In addition to my academic training, I embraced some new modalities of treatment.  Soon, I discovered that emotional memories are stored in the body and that they have specific ways of manifesting themselves.  Based on my belief in the human body’s sensory intelligence and awareness, I discovered the power of movement to express emotions and to heal.  My passion and love for emotional expression and movement led me to discover Nia. Through Nia intensive training, Nia continuing education, and Conscious Embodiment training, I have continued my professional and personal growth. My curiosity about the body’s capacity to help emotional healing helped me to explore and train in Body-Mind Psychotherapy (BMP).

In my free time, I love to dance, listen to music, read, volunteer, be present in the Romanian community, and get involved in women’s rights activism.
