Core Skills 2022-2023
This training is in person! To protect the health of all involved in this training, we have put the following protocols in place:
Whether masks are required will be determined by state or local ordinances in effect at the time of the training.
Everyone who attends must confirm in writing that:
- They took an at-home Covid-19 test the morning of the module and received a negative result
- They have been fever-free for the prior 24 hours
- They are following the CDC guidelines that are current at the time of the training regarding quarantine following exposure to Covid-19.
Please note: Traveling conditions to Chicago in January are unpredictable. We recommend that people who are dependent on air travel or a long car ride do not register for this Core Skills.

9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Thursdays, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Fridays. All times are US Central.
Location: Harbor House, 510 N Washington St., Wheaton, IL 60187. Harbor House is half a mile from the College Ave Metra Station on the Union Pacific West Line. Parking is free and plentiful.
Cost:
$1,700 if paid in full in advance.
$450/session if paid by the session, first payment of $700 includes a $250 non-refundable deposit that will be applied toward the payment for the final session.
CE CREDIT: This training qualifies for 48 continuation education credits. Cost of CE’s is $40.
ChicagoEFT is licensed in the state of Illinois to offer CE’s for LMFT, LCPC and LCSW professionals. However, many states have reciprocity agreements and you may be able to use CE’s offered through this training. Please check with your state professional boards.
Psychologists can receive CE’s from the co-sponsor, The Center for Family and Relational Health at Wheaton College, a regionally accredited college.

Gretchen Harro, MA, LMFT is a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist, Supervisor and Trainer. She is the owner of Relationship Works LLC, a private practice in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. For more than 25 years Gretchen has helped couples shift from disconnection to a safe, secure connection. Her great passions are to help couples rediscover the joy of their friendship and to help therapists become more effective and efficient in their work, which also brings her joy! Gretchen is known for adding creative elements to the training to make the learning more accessible to multiple learning styles. She has also presented workshops in a variety of settings, including parent groups, conferences, and churches, covering issues such as sibling rivalry, understanding a child’s misbehavior, preparing for marriage, and dealing with conflict more effectively.
