Bio |
I have a PhD in marriage and family therapy and an LMFT who specializes in working with relationships, especially couples where one or both partners experienced trauma, as well as individuals struggling with echoes of trauma in their relationships. From my previous professional life, when I worked with families as a physician, I bring expertise in working with the impact of chronic illness on relational dynamics.
I believe that relationships have an essential impact on our well-being. Aren’t we all longing to belong and to find safety and security in the arms of our loved ones, partners, parents or very dear friends that are like family? And yet, in these relationships we can get hurt the most. To help my clients healing disruptions in their close relationships, I use an emotionally-focused therapy, trauma-informed approach, always considering the complexity of multicultural aspects that shape our lives.
