Jaimee has been practicing in the field since 2004 and is passionate about her work and being of service to her clients.  She began her career in different mental health outpatient settings and for well over the past fifteen years has worked in private practice specializing in working with complex emotional health concerns.

Jaimee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor and Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist. She has her Masters in Social Work from University of Illinois-Chicago and a BA from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is also a trained EMDR therapist and is certified in CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), which is the structured cognitive-behavioral treatment protocol for PTSD and is considered by the International Society of Traumatic Stress Studies as a best practice for the treatment of PTSD.

Jaimee is also a Gottman Level 1 & Level 2 Trained therapist, completed the externship for EFT for couples therapy, and has extensive training in mindfulness. Jaimee deeply values creating a space where the present moment is used to become more aware, conscious and compassionate about one’s own internal experience and believes from that space change and healing occurs. She values a psychodynamic approach and tends to look at spaces and dynamics with an emphasis on attachment and attachment styles.

However, Jaimee also understands the value of integrating a structured approach that provides concrete tools to facilitate change.  She is a deep believer that through well-targeted and intentional activity and practice, brain changes will occur that will help make change possible and allow for people to engage in their life in the way they desire.

In addition to direct clinical practice, Jaimee also values being an active part of the clinical field and the professional development of future clinicians entering into the world of psychotherapy.  Jaimee has served as the Director of Training for the MSW/MA Program at a local nonprofit in the community and has been part of the Clinical Teaching Faculty at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, where she served as an Affiliate Faculty Professor. She provides clinical supervision to LCSW and LCPC candidates and other professionals in the field, as well as provides trainings to different groups within the community. She is also a member of NASW, as well as ICEEFT.

Jaimee values creating an authentic, non-judgmental and safe space with her clients, and believes that clients can only go as far in their healing as they feel safe with their therapist.  Jaimee absolutely loves her work and feels honored to be able to hold a sacred space with her clients.
