Bio

Jaimee has been practicing in the mental health field since 2004 and is deeply passionate about helping individuals and couples heal from emotional wounds and relational patterns that leave them feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed. Throughout her career, she has developed a particular focus on working with complex trauma, attachment injuries and betrayal, relationship distress, and other emotionally complex concerns.

Jaimee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), and Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist (ACHT). She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and her clinical work is deeply grounded in attachment science and experiential approaches to healing.

Through an EFT and EFIT lens, Jaimee helps clients understand the emotional and relational patterns that organize how they experience themselves and connect with others. She works collaboratively with individuals and couples to explore how attachment experiences, emotional injuries, and protective strategies can shape present-day patterns of disconnection, conflict, self-protection, and longing for connection. Her work emphasizes slowing down emotional experience, accessing the needs and vulnerabilities beneath protective responses, and creating new emotional experiences that foster greater security, connection, and resilience.

Jaimee’s broader therapeutic approach integrates EFT and EFIT with psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, and experiential therapies. She also has extensive training in trauma treatment and incorporates evidence-based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). This integrative foundation allows her to thoughtfully tailor treatment to each client while maintaining a strong focus on attachment, emotional processing, and the healing potential of the therapeutic relationship.

Beyond her clinical practice, Jaimee is passionate about mentoring and educating clinicians. She previously served as Director of Training for an MSW/MA graduate training program at a local nonprofit organization and as an Affiliate Faculty member with The Family Institute at Northwestern University. She currently provides clinical supervision to LCSW and LCPC candidates, offers professional consultation, and presents trainings for clinicians and community organizations. She is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Chicago Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (Chicago EFT) and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).

Above all, Jaimee strives to create an authentic, compassionate, and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship in which clients feel deeply seen, understood, and emotionally safe. She believes that healing occurs through connection and that the therapeutic relationship can become a powerful place for clients to encounter themselves and others in new ways. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside individuals and couples as they deepen their understanding of themselves, strengthen their relationships, and move toward lives of greater authenticity, connection, and emotional well-being.
