| Bio | Jaimee has been practicing in the mental health field since 2004 and is deeply passionate about helping people heal from the emotional wounds that leave them feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed. After beginning her career in community mental health, she has spent more than fifteen years in private practice specializing in the treatment of complex trauma, attachment injuries and betrayal, relationship distress, and other emotionally complex concerns. Jaimee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor (CADC), and Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist (ACHT). She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her clinical work is grounded in attachment science and the belief that meaningful, lasting change occurs when people experience emotional safety, connection, and compassion within the therapeutic relationship. Jaimee’s therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in attachment theory and the understanding that healing takes place within the context of safe, authentic relationships. She works collaboratively with clients to explore how early life experiences, patterns of connection, and protective strategies continue to shape present-day relationships with themselves and others. Her work emphasizes slowing down emotional experience, increasing awareness of underlying needs and longings, and creating new relational experiences that foster healing, resilience, and lasting change. Drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and experiential approaches, Jaimee helps clients move beyond simply managing symptoms toward understanding the deeper emotional patterns that drive them. She also integrates evidence-based trauma treatments, including EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), allowing her to thoughtfully tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs while balancing emotional processing, insight, and practical strategies for change. Beyond her clinical practice, Jaimee is passionate about mentoring and educating future clinicians. She previously served as the Director of Training for an MSW/MA graduate program at a local nonprofit organization and as an Affiliate Faculty member with The Family Institute at Northwestern University. She currently provides clinical supervision to LCSW and LCPC candidates, offers professional consultation, and presents trainings for clinicians and community organizations. She is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). Above all, Jaimee strives to create an authentic, compassionate, and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship where clients feel deeply seen, understood, and emotionally safe. She believes that healing begins with connection and that the strength of the therapeutic relationship provides the foundation for meaningful and lasting growth. Jaimee considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients as they deepen their understanding of themselves, strengthen their relationships, and move toward lives of greater authenticity, connection, and emotional well-being. |
